Having won in an electronic tender held by the Ministry of transport and communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, GazIntech concluded a contract for provision of services on creation of a Seafarer’s Identity Documents Processing, Issuance and Control System (SID).

The System’s major task is to automate the processes of processing, issuance and control of SID in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The System is hierarchically structured and will include a coordination centre, a national electronic data base of SIDs in the Republic of Kazakhstan and an office of SID processing, issuance and control.

GazIntech has a unique long-year experience in creation of automated safety assurance systems based on processing of information contained in identification documents, including those with biometric parameters.

GazIntech experts implemented a large-scale project comprising design, creation and servicing of Federal Marine and Transport River Agency’s segment of the state system of passport and visa documents of the new generation that includes 30 offices of SID processing, issuance and control within the territory of the Russian Federation. Basing on the results of the project, representatives of the headquarters of the International Labor Organization marked high readiness of the created System to the process of SID issuance, as well as full compliance of the System with the requirements of Convention 185 and the relevant technical standards. It was recommended to share GazIntech’s experience of system development among other states that had ratified or were going to ratify Convention 185.

«We are proud of the fact that the experience in development of such systems, professionalism of our experts and high appreciation of our work by representatives of authorized international organizations have enabled GazIntech to implement an important and an interesting project aimed at creation of a Seafarer’s Identity Documents Processing, Issuance and Control System in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, the technology developed by us has gained widespread outside Russia», — Vladimir Vozzhaev, Director General of GazIntech, noted.

The major works on the project, including development of a requirements specification, technical design, preparation of documents and system commissioning, are planned to be completed this year.
