GazIntech participates in research-to-practice conference «Safety and Reliability of Navigation Hydraulic Structures» on invitation of the Federal Agency for Marine and Inland Water Transport and the Russian S&R Society of Waterborne Traffic held on August 6-8, 2013 in Petrozavodsk.
The Conference addressed the key issues related to implementation of the Federal Law «On Safety of Hydraulic Structures», reliable operation of navigation hydraulic structures (NHS), smooth operation of NHS, advanced technologies of NHS service reliability and safety. Chief experts of the RF Ministry of Transport, the RF Marine and Inland Water Transport Agency, the RF Transport Supervision Agency, inland waterway regulatory authorities and administrations, R&D and design and engineering institutions took the floor at the Conference.
Mr. K.A. Musyakayev, Head of Project Management of GazIntech, addressed the audience on issues of integrated NHS monitoring as a factor of safety and reliability of NHS systems and focused on the priority of real-time data flow and processing in respect of critical NHS facilities in the Russian Federation.
In 2011, GazIntech was retained by the RF Marine and Inland Water Transport Agency, the RF Transport Supervision Agency, and presently GazIntech has completed a pilot project of integrated NHS monitoring that comprises prototype equipment for the Transport Supervision Agency Control Center and DIS at navigation lock of Voronezh hydropower facility of Volga-Don FBU. In 2012-2013, an integrated NHS monitor panel was manufactured and commissioned in the Central Control Department of the Transport Supervision Agency that provides real-time supervision over technical condition and safety levels for identification of emergencies and preventing of accidents.
According to Mr. I.N. Zlobin, Deputy Chief, Department of Internal Water Transport Agency, the report presented by GazIntech was the key element of the conference workshop program.
The technical basis of NHS monitoring should be extended to cover all critical NHS facilities in the Russian Federation for maintaining safety and providing failure prevention and damage control.
